New Mexico Legal Aid's programs provide free civil legal services to low-income residents who are facing life-changing problems homelessness, custody disputes, fraud, or termination of benefits. Often issues are interrelated, and one problem leads to another.
One in three Americans today are eligible for legal aid but because of lack of funding, two out of three who seek it have to be turned away. While the government is still the largest funder of civil legal aid, the need has overwhelmed the resources directed to it -- you can help.
We invite you to get involved. Your investment in NMLA gets at the roots of poverty and empowers thousands of New Mexicans to help themselves build a more secure and stable future. Thank you for making a difference!
